The “Chasm Chaos” is a chasm almost circular shape depth 55 m. and a diameter of 120 m. It was probably formed by the collapse of the cave roof. In the area south of Chaos scattered mining galleries and ore residues.

The mines in Lavrion area is one of the oldest mines in Greece. In this area you will see a lot of ancient ore washing basins in. To wash the ore, large quantities of water were collected in these basins. They collected the rain water that was subsequently channeled to the different washing stations on the site.

Sounion National Park was established in 1971. The importance of such forest for the microclimate of the capital is evident. Also, the plant life of the park, although not sufficiently researched, is of particular interest.

At Cape Sounion, the Athenians built a sanctuary surrounded by a wall. The sanctuary consisted of temples dedicated to the gods of the city. The principal temple was dedicated to Poseidon, the god of the sea.

This is a Doric temple and is the only temple which has been preserved until today.

Camping Nea Makri lies in a natural shaded area, just 30 km from Athens, next to famous Marathon. It’s an ideal spot for sightseeing Attica.

Το Αρχαίο Θέατρο του Θορικού, θεωρείται το αρχαιότερο της Ελλάδας, με τεράστια αρχαιολογική αξία και βρίσκεται λίγο πριν την είσοδο της πόλης του Λαυρίου.
Χρονολογείται μεταξύ του 525 και 480 π.Χ. και αποτελείται από ορθογώνια ορχήστρα και 21 σειρές καθισμάτων. Η ιδιαιτερότητα του βρίσκεται στο ιδιόμορφο ελλειψοειδές σχήμα του σε αντίθεση με την ημικυκλική κατασκευή των νεότερων σε χρονολογία θεάτρων.
Ήταν το επίκεντρο του αρχαίου Δήμου του Θορικού, που ανήκε στην πόλη-κράτος των Αθηνών και χρησιμοποιείτο όχι μόνο για παραστάσεις, αλλά και για συνεδριάσεις των πολιτών του Δήμου.
